Senior Interactive Designer

We are looking for an innovator in Interactive Design and Motion Graphics who is comfortable architecting and designing interactive experiences, as well creating and art directing video and animation. You’ll use your skill set to help our clients realize how their brands can be expressed in a meaningful way through interactive experiences and motion graphics. You will be the category expert in interactive design, complementing our existing team of Graphic Designers, Environment Designers, Brand Strategists and Copywriters. An entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to work on cross-disciplinary teams is a requirement.

Retail Environments Designer

You have a passion for retail in all its forms. As a Visual Merchandiser / Retail Designer, you will create a compelling retail brand experience for a Fortune 500 Client with a major national retail presence. Working to conceptualize and visualize retail displays in a broad range of categories, you will collaborate with vendors, fabricators and outside consultants to create mockups and prototypes. Your technical skills are solid as are your communications skills.

Senior Brand Strategist

You enjoy getting into brands and learning about what makes them work. You are challenged by identifying brand atributes, defining brand strategies and working with multidisciplinary teams to put them into action.
You can demonstrate the ability to define client needs, be involved with user-centered research, summarize fieldwork findings and articulate brand thinking.
The ideal candidate for this position will have: 4-6 years experience working in a multidisciplinary design environment, excellent writing and presentation skills and examples of past projects that illustrate a point-of-view and an effective approach to branded communications.

Graphic Design

Electrical and Software Engineering is a core capability within our product innovation business. Our projects include a broad range of electrical engineering content including: RF systems, embedded microprocessor and DSP systems, programmable logic devices, analog filter design, transducer conditioning, electromechanical subsystem interfacing, firmware and software.

Senior Electrical Engineer

You must have strong knowledge of EE theory, combined with strong laboratory skills, and demonstrable ability in programming embedded devices. Proficiency requirements include reading/creating schematics and rapid analysis/design of mixed-signal circuits. Using oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, function generators, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers must be second-nature. If you meet the above requirements and excel in a multidisciplinary environment, then you are well-suited for this position.

Mechanical Engineering is a core capability within our product innovation business.   Projects include a broad range of mechanical engineering content including: Precision mechanics, microfluidics, opto-mechanical design, kinematics and mechanism design, electro-mechanical design and integration, sensing, control, and automation.

Example recent projects have included induction heater-based commercial appliances, DNA detection equipment, surgical illumination systems, fluid pumps, and high-volume consumer products.

Mechanical Engineer

You have a solid background with 3-D CAD tools (SolidWorks and Pro/E), manufacturing processes, and lab and shop work.  You are creative, energetic and passionate about solving problems.  You care about the big picture and are thorough about the details.  You communicate effectively, play nicely with others, love getting your hands dirty, and your attitude is mostly in-check.  You know your way around a shop, can develop simple proof-of-concept prototypes, have a strong theoretical background, and at least a BSME.

You work well in a team environment, and will be responsible for the identification and development of new client business opportunities. You have faith in your own judgment, but you can defer to your colleagues when you sense that they have a passionately held or logically derived position. You know how to manage projects, but you would rather manage relationships. You can write as well as you think. You listen as energetically as you speak. You want to be in the middle of it all, taking part in design and development programs, helping your clients succeed in their organizations and coordinating with project managers on budgets, timing and team morale. You have strong negotiating skills, comfort with legal contracts and are fully proficient in PC programs. You have reverence for consumers and passion for products in all industries. While you can likely land any type of engagement, your sweet spot (and expertise) are opportunities that have significant brand issues or branding development.

Senior Designer - Product Behavior Specialist

You will apply prior expertise and multi-disciplinary project experience leading a design team to carry out creative and technical product behavior/user interface design work on projects with minimal guidance; you are adept at analyzing and developing solutions for many types of design problems with core focus on product behavior and user interface design.  You work well with clients and multi-disciplinary project teams to bring projects from concept through the detail development phases. You have a proven ability in creating compelling graphic design for digital media, as well as an understanding of the cognitive and emotional aspects of interface design for consumer and medical/technical software and hardware interfaces to develop user interface, and to prototype, document, and perform task analysis critical to the information architecture process. You are experienced in scheduling and budget tracking for small to medium sized projects, ensuring all phases of project are within time constraints and set budgets.  You understand the Product Behavior process and will be able to contribute to the development of new processes and tools where appropriate. You will seamlessly interface across other groups to help implement solutions. You are able to work independently to conduct user interface design, prototyping and documentation, product behavior design, task analysis and information architecture process. BA in ID or CGD, 5+ yrs progressive experience in product behavior/user interface design; or MA in ID or CGD, 2 yrs experience in product behavior/user interface design; or combination of education, training or experience.

You have a strong curiosity about life in the professional work environment and are eager to experience it. Depending on the type of internship, design, strategy or engineering, you will help with concept generation, model building, product research, data analysis, instrumentation, and administrative activities as part of the product development process. Internships in marketing and research will also be considered.
